Central Station [CS]
You can obtain access to different settings for the Central Station under "Central Station".
Create Data Again
With "Create Data Again" you can restore any backup. During this process all current settings are overwritten by the settings in the backup.
The last backup performed will always have the name "backup.tgz". In addition, older backups are consecutively numbered.
Backup
With "Backup" you can backup and save all current settings in the Central Station at anytime. The file name for the backup is assigned automatically.
The backups that you generate allow you to restore the data in the Central Station at anytime to what they were in the backups.
We recommend that you perform a backup before doing extensive configurations or before doing updates.
It is also possible to save a backup on a USB memory device. You can then recreate another Central Station with this backup in order to bring this unit to the same status.
Program updates are not transferred over in the process, however.
Update Program
You can import prepared updates from Märklin's Internet site in order to keep the software in the Central Station current. If the Central Station has a functioning Internet-Verbindung, you can start an update with the button "Update program". The individual settings in the Central Station are not affected by an update.
On request an update for the TFP (Track Format Processor) will also be loaded as part of the update; the update for the TFP is installed the next time you boot up the Central Station. All other TFPs connected to the Central Station will also be updated in the process!
Restart
"Restart" shuts down the Central Station and starts the program again. This procedure is useful after an update.
Shutdown
The Central Station should always be turned off with this button whenever possible, before it is separated from the power supply (transformer).
When the Central Station is shut down with this button, all of the current settings such as the operating status for different locomotives are saved. Otherwise, it may happen that stored or stopped locomotives will start up when the Central Station is turned on again.
Calibrate
This function of the Touch Screen (entry about touching the screen) is dependent on the room environment in which the Central Station is being used and can be influenced by changing conditions. The touch screen can be recalibrated in order to ensure reliable functionality after conditions have changed. Press this button to do this; it will start the procedure. After that the display will go dark and the user must touch 5 different points on the screen. These points are displayed one after the other on the display.
After the calibration procedure is finished, the Central Station will switch back to normal operation.
Note:
The mouse cursor is turned on during the calibration procedure. If the screen should not be usable due to malfunctions, the Central Station can still be operated with a conventional computer mouse.
It is absolutely necessary that you use a USB mouse for this, one that can be plugged into a Central Station even when it is turned on.
Auxiliary Unit
You can also operate the Central Station as an Auxiliary Controller in addition to another Central Station (60213). A field must be checked off in this case for trouble-free operation.
The check mark should be removed for operation without another Central Station, since otherwise no Mobile Station and also no mfx locomotive can register themselves.
