A shuttle train route allows you to have a train (or also a
powered rail car ...) to run back and forth on a defined route. To do
this, the Central Station must naturally know when the train arrives in
the station. The two end points of the shuttle train route are equipped
with an S 88 "feedback decoder" in order to achieve this. This decoder
sends the necessary information to the Central Station.
In addition to the S 88 contact at the start of the shuttle train
route, contacts for the end of the shuttle train route as well as for
an intermediate stop can also be entered. When doing this make sure
that a change in direction takes place when the start
or end contacts are being activated. While the
train is stopped at the intermediate contact for a while according to
the settings, make sure that it starts up again in the same direction
from which it came.
If one or several contacts at the start, in the middle or at the end
are not needed, all you have to do is enter Contact "0".
Setup
The S 88 contacts, the speed, and the wait time (in the stations) must
be set in order to set up a shuttle train route. You can define with
the button to the left at the lower edge of the window whether the
shuttle train route is only being entered, or whether it also being
activated. A shuttle train route does not have to
be deleted in order to deactivate it.
The button mentioned in the paragraph above also gives information
about the status of the shuttle train route:
No shuttle
train route has been set up yet.
A shuttle train
route has been set up and is active.
A shuttle train
route has been set up but it is not active.
Operation
After shutting the Central Station down and turning it on again, it may
happen that he locomotive in the shuttle train route does not behave as
expected. To avoid this, we recommend that you manually stop the
shuttle train before shutting the Central Station. You should also
manually start the shuttle train again after turning the Central
Station on.
